the rest of July

The rest of July consisted of random things:

Rosie actually opened her mouth at the dentist!

Chick-fil-a appreciation day

My friend (from growing up in Chicago) is an author.  This is her 2nd book and she sent it to us free, when I won it on Facebook.  The kids loved reading it.  She's pretty talented.

Lots of fun at the park:

Hand foot and mouth?  One night Rosie woke up screaming.  She was itching her feet.  We took her out of bed and called our nurse-friend, Angie.  She told us to do Benadryl and to watch the fever.

The next day she was fine, but we continued to watch her and make sure that her airway didn't close up.

4th of July

Saturday, the 2nd, we left Denver around 6:30.   It was a long day of driving, but the weather was pretty amazing (just a little bit of rain here and there).

Luke may or may not have been speeding when we got into Wyoming....

We took a different route, since we were going straight to Rigby and not Pocatello.  It was gorgeous.  We've never been to the Palisades and it did not disappoint.  The reservoir was full and blue and just perfect.

We stopped in Star Valley and got some Taco Time, even though we were stuffed. :)

(Mac asked us about 200 times when we would arrive and Rosie was only upset for the last part of then trip. ;)

We got to Jer and Jenn's house and then Iris and Terry showed up.  We had burgers and hot dogs on the grill and laughed and laughed all night on their new deck.  I love Idaho summers.

The next morning, we attended Sicily and Paycen's ward, for Brooklyn's baby blessing.  It was such a sweet blessing and it was nice to attend church.

We had a big meal after church at Mike and Laurie's. It was so fun to see everyone and the food was grand.  We stayed there until about 9 and then came home.  Rosie had fallen asleep on the floor at Laurie's, so it was a bit of a long night with her.

Monday morning was the 4th.  We woke up around 8:30 and booked it to the Rexburg parade.  If there is one thing that Rexburg does really well, it's the parade.  It was 2 hours long!!!  So much fun and so much candy for the kids.

We went back to Jer be Jenn's and started on the food.  We had steak, hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni and pasta salad, beans, so much food.
We danced on the deck for so many songs and had a blast laughing and talking.

Later on that week, we went to Utah to hang with the extended family.  It was so fun!

While driving home, there were some crazy wild fires.

Rosie stuck one of these up her nose and scared us to DEATH!  She couldn't get it out and it started moving up higher and higher.  It started to melt a little, but it wasn't until she sneezed, that we got it out.
