Dental visit

After 3 years, we finally had good enough insurance for me to go to the dentist.  I have had a tooth bothering me since I was a teenager that I wanted to get fixed.  The silver filling had been leaking and was pretty sensitive.  Today was the day:

I know the picture is super unflattering, but at the same time I wanted to document how I felt while on laughing gas.  I haven't had laughing gas for almost 30 years...and it was crazy.  I even fell asleep!  Must be those early 3:30 a.m. wake up calls.  :)

Originally the dentist wanted to do a root canal, but I wasn't sure.  I have pretty good teeth and wasn't in the mood to deal with all of that.  Instead, he said that he could do a filling and we could see how that works out.  If it doesn't the next step is a root canal.  We'll find out in June.

Happy 41st bday Luke!

This man has graced us with his presence for 41 years.  We are so thankful he is in our lives.  He doesn't like cake, so pie it was!  (Cherry and Heath Cheesecake-yum!)

On Saturday morning we took Luke to a diner for breakfast.  Afterwards we headed to play mini golf with the kids.  He needed to work a few hours and then we headed out to Puerto Vallarta--delicious!

On Sunday we had planned a bit family dinner.  Unfortunately most of the family had the flu or strep throat, BUT we were lucky to have Iris and Terry come.  We had a great time laughing and playing games.

Date night to Star Wars

There is a lot of stress starting a new business.  A lot.  So one Friday night I bought movie tickets and off we went to the new Star Wars movie.  It was really good.  The only picture I got was me holding out and NOT partaking of the carmel popcorn.  Not one single bite!  :)

Snowboard club

This past summer Spencer worked very hard mowing lawns.  In November he had enough money to buy a new/used board at the ISU ski swap.  He hasn't used his new board yet, since Pebble Creek has been pretty icy, but he hopes to use it soon.  Here he is anticipating the first day of snow club.
