Red Robin and the blasted balloon

For those of you that need a description: Luke got livi a balloon as we were leaving, but didn't get Spencer one...that's a HUGE no-no apparantly. So, we tried the sharing thing, didn't work, tried the threatening thing, didn't work...so we told Livi and Spencer that the balloon had to go and play with the birds...(Disclaimer: we know that balloons are hazardous to the environment and we apologize :)

The crayon and the car
Well, I just wanted to warn all of you that if you leave a crayon on your carseat when you go into Church, there is a pretty darn good chance that it will be melted all over your seat 3 hours later. Case in point:

Stupid red crayon...what to do? Internet. They said: take WD-40 and scrub the seat
with a small scrub brush. Repeat. Put some dish soap on, etc, etc. So, there are my supplies.

I know that this doesn't look wonderful, but after it dried, you could hardly tell.

Posts, Posts & more Posts...
Ok, I haven't written in a week and there isn't too much to say, other than we have much to say!!
On Saturday night, the 7th, we went to a Royal's Game with our good friend, Chad (his wife and kids were out of town:( Anyway, we had a great time ($1 hot dog and drink night), amazing seats along the 3rd baseline. It wasn't until the top of the 7th...that's where it gets a little hairy...or hay-wire!!
There was a fly foul ball and it looked like it was coming straight at us...being the heroic and wonderful husband that Luke is, he went to catch it before it caught us...only to discover that it was enough in the field that he had to reach over the fence and cause the outfielder NOT to catch it. As he is reaching out, the crowd starts booing and Luke realizes that he has made a huge mistake and drops the ball... Now, this wouldn't have been bad if the Devil Rays were in the outfield, but no..it was the Royals and let me tell you...we were scared for our lives.
The crowd was booing and yelling and screaming, "Kick him out, Kick him out!!" The outfielder, Joey Gathright was upset, he kept glaring at Luke and shaking his head!! (Luke kept apologizing over and over and over and finally Joey acknowledged him and said it was ok.) It went on for quite a while, even after that Devil Ray was out...can you picture that Cubs game?? The one where the fan almost lost his life for catching the ball?? Ok, not as bad as that, but it got pretty close...one girl tried to spit on him as he was walking out, even though he was holding Livi (how classy can you get, right?!?) Anyway, we are glad that we made it out of there with our lives and our kids and some dignity left. If the Royals would've lost, I don't know what would've happened!!
Yesterday, the 10th we got our piano!!! It isn't much to look at or listen to for that matter..but it was free!!! (we definately have to get a tuner in here AND when we get a home, I would like to refinish it...then we'll get a new one :) It was really funny how everything came to be...
On Saturday, June 30th, we were talking to our friends, Kimi and Jeremy about getting a piano. I have wanted one for a LONG time, but knew that we couldn't afford a brand new one. (The keyboard wasn't cutting it!!) Luke was sorta complaining that there wouldn't be any room for it and that we should just wait until we get to Ohio...Well, we went to Church the next day and lo and behold our friends, Gigi and Miles, were getting rid of theres...up for grab, the first person to their house got it!! So, I rose my hand and said I wanted it, (yes, without consulting Luke first..better to ask forgiveness than permission, right??) It has taken a week, a few guys, and a UHaul to move it, but it is here and we have been having a great time today playing on it and singing...what joy to have a piano in the home!!

Parachute fun...
I remember when I was in elementary school we had these parachutes to play with during gym when it was raining outside. When I got to college and was in my ElEd gym class, they also taught with these, so when I found this at Target and on Clearance...I was all over it!!! We have had nonstop rain for 3 1/2 days...not fun! So, Luke broke it out to get us out of our rainy funk!
