OUR NEW HOME!!

We are so excited to have a home!   For the past almost 3 years, we were renting from my parents while they served a mission.  Through many miracles and tender mercies we were able to get a beautiful home in a great neighborhood.
A little background:  This home had been on the market since February.  There was a distinct "smell" in a few of the rooms.  The carpet was new in the living room, but the smell was stronger in the master bedroom and the basement.  The backyard was VERY overgrown and had many holes throughout it.  We viewed the home during covid-19 (amazing interest rates, no one really viewing homes, etc).  After buying the home, we started painting.  Although it's a beautiful home, (2008 Parade Home), the paint was outdated.  I had actually walked out that first day of viewing because I didn't like it.  Thankfully Luke, my parents and the realtor convinced me to go back and view it again.

We were able to get the keys a week early!    We immediately got new carpet in the master bed/closet and painted the main rooms and kitchen.  We met our neighbors and they revealed that the owner had had many dogs (as many as 8 at one point)!  THE SMELL!

I love our entryway.  It is pretty big.  Can't wait to decorate for the holidays.
The rose bushes are amazing!  We have 3-4 bushes here.  3-4 more in the front part of our yard and 4-5 more bushes on the side of the house.

The backyard after we have worked on it for several days and many dumpster bins full.  Fortunately you can tell there are separate bushes and trees vs one single bush that spans the entire backyard ;)

My favorite part of the home:  The covered back patio.  Heaven.
