Rainbow Dash

Well, the time has come to say goodbye to Rainbow Dash...long live her fishy soul.

Yes, she died today between the hours of 2-3:20. I SERIOUSLY didn't see it coming and now livi is going to freak out!! Ughh, I wonder if she won't even notice...hmmm, when to flush her, when to flush her? I can't wait until tonight, that is just plain NASTY. Maybe Livi will notice and then I will have her do it. HAHA, JUST KIDDING!!

Oh well, so much for our aquarium kingdom. Stupid Wal-Mart fish...BTW, our fish didn't float when they died, they just chilling at the bottom...What the heck is up with that...? (probably something with the fish constipation and bowels)

3:45
Ok, I told her...and here is how it went.
Me:"Livi honey, I have some sad news."
Livi: What momma? What happened?
Me: Um, Rainbow Dash died.
Livi: What? I want to see! (She rushes over to the tank and looks inside. No, I haven't flushed it yet!) Ok Mom, I have an idea, we can get two more fish and name them, Cinderella and Rainbow Dash.
Me: you're going to have to call daddy.

Here's their conversation almost exactly, since I am sitting at the computer typing it...
Livi: Daddy, guess what? rainbow dash died!!
Luke: are you sad?
Livi: Umm, yeah, but I have an idea...why don't we get more fish?
Luke: Um, I'm not sure, we'll have to see.
Livi: I want 4 fish.
Luke: Livi, the tank isn't big enough for more than 1 or 2 fish
Livi: We can make a bigger tank and how about we have three? We can name them Cinderella, Rainbow Dash, it's big for 3 too.
Luke:I don't think 3 fish would fit. Were you sad when mommy flushed him down the toilet?
Livi: Her's not in the toilet yet. No it's a "her", not "him". Dad, I heard that you are going here...i heard you are coming here in one day.
Luke: No, two days.
Livi: Yeah, when the day pasts then you can come home and then we can play.

3:52 still haven't flushed the stupid fish...YUCK! I really dislike this part of being a mom.

Another Game of Tag

(thanks Kerry, really appreciate this tag! ;)

10 years ago:
In my Junior year of high school. Trying to get through Honors English and US Gov't. Aww, good times!

5 Things on my to-do list today:
Stay sane while Luke is out of town.
Put on some jeans and get outta my comfy sweats.
Do the laundry.
Clean up after my kids
Try to get to playgroup ON TIME (there is a TON of ice and snow on the roads)

5 Snacks I enjoy:
Chips
French bread with havarti and butter
Beef Jerky
Salty foods
Chocolate milk (Kerry, I was OBSESSED with choc. milk while pregnant with spencer)

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
(Luke and I have actually already talked and planned for this, only we talked about being millionaires...this takes us to a whole new level!! ;)

-We would give each and every family member enough to invest something for a rainy day and to either "BUY" a home (hint, hint for us) or to pay off their mortgages.
-We would have a few vacation homes around the world (Paris, New Zealand, Spain)
-We would travel to Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, France, Italy, Wales, England, The Netherlands, Austria)
-SAVINGS, SAVINGS, SAVINGS!!! There would be enough in the bank for missions, college, and any mishaps that come along the way.
-Vacation each year to some exotic or fun place for each side of the family. This means that we would take 2 weeks in Cancun or Spain or somewhere with the in-laws and 2 weeks with my side of the family.
-Pay off student loans/get out of debt!
-Church funds: tithing, temple, fast offerings, education fun, etc
-I'd get liposuction...ok, not really, but at least hire a trainer and cook...so we could get healthy and fit
-Get veneers put on...my teeth were in braces, but the whole wisdom teeth coming in AFTER has sorta messed them up, PLUS they are REALLY sensitive (thanks mom ;)

3 of my bad habits:
Computer controls my life
Don't excercise enough
Lack of Patience

Places I have lived:
Clearfield, UT
Batavia, IL
Rexburg, ID (5 different moves)
St. Louis, MO
Idaho Falls, ID
Kansas City, MO
Overland Park, KS
Medina, OH

Jobs that I have had:
Babysitter
Kohl's Department Store (Point of Sales)
Holmsted Retirement (Waitress and Cook)
Houghton Mifflin x 2 (1st year: warehouse worker, 2nd year: secretary)
BYU-Idaho Secretary in Child and Family Services Department
Artco (Customer Service)
Rexburg Medical Center (Receptionist and courier)
Community Care (courier)
Newspaper carrier for the Bonnie Buyer and another one when I was 5
BYU-Idaho Admissions Office (secretarial type work, inputted incoming students grades, GPA's, and ACT scores)

5 Things people don't know about me:
-I really do have a good sense of fashion, but I NEVER buy any clothes for myself because I don't think I look good in stylish things. (therefore, I use "my" money on the kids or Luke. I even used my Christmas gift card for Luke's birthday!!)
-Even if I am not tired when I wake up (at 8 or whenever) I roll over and go back to sleep
-I would rather have a minivan than an SUV (because the gas prices are so high--don't get me wrong, I would love a SUV!)
-I sorta let the kids destroy our apartment until about 30 minutes before Luke gets home and then I clean up. Usually it doesn't take me very long to clean up the mess and then I use the extra cushion of time to get dinner started. Unless he comes home early, he never knows what a disaster this place can be!! :0)
-I would do anything in my power to meet up with my family (or Luke's family). I love hanging out with my sisters and sis-in-laws. (We would do a WHOLE lot more if we were closer and the prices weren't so expensive.)

I tag: Victoria J., Staci, Jackie J., Katie Staker, Karlee (Kristin I'm giving you a pass since your baby is due in like 5 days!!!)

Our new additions...

Ok, so for the longest time I have wanted twins. I don't know exactly where it stemmed from, maybe from the fact that my uncles are twins and so are my cousins. I know that it runs in the mother's side of the family and identical twins are not hereditary. So...our odds aren't too shabby (my uncles are identical and I don't think my cousins are...hmm, that's an interesting question: Kiera, Stevie Kay..I don't think they are identical..do you know? They looked a lot alike as babies and toddlers, but now one is really tall and one is short, blue eyes/brown eyes. Ok, I'm not sure what makes a twin identical or fraternal..whatever!)
ANYWAY, here are our new additions:

What were you thinking? Haha, NOT PREGNANT! Livi named the smaller one: Rainbow Dash (go figure) and Spencer named the other one, "Mine, Mine" (just think: Nemo)
It has been fun for the kids, since we aren't getting a puppy anytime soon..oh well, wishful puppy thinking. Next time!
Update: "Mine, Mine" has met his porcelain resting place today at 12:10p.m. So sad...so long little buddy! I thought he was sick when we bought him...and I guess I wasn't too far off! Also, I wonder if he was blind...he's in a better place...bless his fishy soul!

Updating the blog

I figured that updating with these new colors/schemes would be perfect for March. Yellow and green seem perfect for St. Patty's day, EASTER, and being springy...Let me know if you can't read anything because of the colors or if there is something I should change! Thanks!
