sorry it's been a while..our basement flooded and I have decided to demo our 2nd bathroom. all by myself. it has been fun and liberating and OH SO HARD! There is something I will need Luke to help me with...getting one of the nuts off the toilet. I've tried everything, including the reciprocating saw...but to no avail. Hopefully we can find a hacksaw somewhere and use that. Until then, things are on hold.
In other news our amazing and fantastic friends ARE COMING this weekend!! I can't wait!! It's been way too long!

Valentine's Day

This year, Luke and I were lucky enough to drop the kids off with a friend (on Saturday) and have an evening alone. We went out to Applebees (child-less..divine!) and over to some furniture stores.

It was a great and calm night. Last year we took this picture of the kids on valentine's day:

This year, it didn't turn out as nice and calm as we would have preferred. Part of it could have been that we went to Subway for dinner, then straight to the gym where we did our full exercise routine and THEN a personal trainer wanted to 'show us' what we were missing by not going with them.

After losing our dinner, we quickly got the kids home and this is the pic. we got:
