Roslyn Ruth is here!

I'm writing this post via my phone, so it will be the quick version of little Rosie, Roz, Rozzie, Roslyn's arrival.

She's here and we couldn't be more happy and thankful.  It was a pretty easy labor, except for the epidural complications (2 epidural insertions and 4 different catheters later....issues breathing/pulse  and tunnel hearing and it wasn't a drip :(  ).  When the epidural took effect, the contractions weren't too shabby and I thought it would be an easier delivery.
We told the dr. (who wasn't my dr., but LoVed! Her) how fast I progress.  I went a little slower than Mac's birth, 6 to 10 in 40 minutes vs. 20, but it gave the dr. a chance to have lunch ;)
Unfortunately, Rosie was posterior and not working down the canal fast enough.  15 intense minutes later and she was here with a small cry.  She has a bruise on the tip of her nose and she snuggled into me for quite a while, taking in the world.

Build-a-bear Saturday

We had 4 soccer games scheduled last Saturday..and they were all cancelled due to rain.  We were only a little ecstatic and quickly revamped our plans.

We made the trek to the nearest Build-a-bear for our little baby coming in a few weeks.  We got to the mall a little early and waited for 45 minutes before ANY of the stores opened up.  Bleh!

Spencer and Mac outside the store.  Mac just met that little girl and kept putting his arm around her showing things.  :)
We went in and made our decision, the kids added a heart:

and went through a "ceremony":

then we stuffed and checked it:

washing it:

and went through the grueling process of finding clothes for this bear!  We named her Vanilla Cream and were on our way...to Auntie Anne's!  :)  Livi and I have a long standing tradition that when we go to the mall, we get a pretzel.  (I LOVE this tradition because I LOVE a good pretzel!)

We did a bit more shopping and off to Kohl's for the coming home outfit.  Holy Moley that was also a huge feat.  Those kids can't make a decision (together) to save their lives.  Luke and I had final say..and then ended up buying a few more outfits.  :)  It HAS been 10 years since we have had a baby girl in the house and some of the fashions have changed...ok, QUITE a bit of change.

By the time we got home, I was beat.  I sat in the recliner and didn't move for a few hours.  It was a nice nap time and then Luke went to some Church meetings for Stake Conference.  The kids and I faired pretty well and ate an entire pizza between us.  We must have all been starving!

It was a great day and the kids kept telling us we were spoiling them...how?  Not sure, but we'll take it!
