Thinking..dreaming…in blog?

Do you think blog?  Like write a post in your head?  I do it all the time and almost 90% of them don’t make them to the blog because my head is crammed full of stuff as it is.

Like last night.  I was up a few times with Mac and I had some random things come to my mind.  “Blog worthy”, as I like to call it.   I couldn’t fall back to sleep for a while because I was thinking about this awesome post I was going to write.  But guess what?  There is obviously no post because my full brain won't allow for much more in there.  It’s time to detox the mind and then maybe my posts will not only get finished, but be good ones!

Hopefully, I can go in for my much needed massage this week…thank you Luke and Kids for the early birthday present!  I NEED IT!

OH!  On another side note.  I won a Fitness DVD by one of my favorite exercise guru’s, Lindsay Brin.  She is seriously awesome!  THEN, I won another one this past week!  Yay for Tiffany’s Be Well Blog!  Love it!

teeth, sickness & sleep

3 more teeth for mac! this kid is on a roll! and...along with the teeth coming in? fever, cough, runny nose, and a whole lot of wheezing--makes for a lot of sleepless nights. So remember when I said that he was sleeping really well last week? I take it back. ALL. OF. IT! One day he'll get the hang of it...and then I'll get back to sleeping better!

Fangle Tooth

Speaking of teeth…I thought I would bring this to everyone’s attention.

Our adorable baby boy

has some funky teeth coming in…

Can we say vampire? Edward… Anyone? Anyone?

And this was him last night. He cried for almost an hour straight. Just because. He isn’t one of those babies that cries, has a fit, and then falls asleep. He’ll keep at it until one of us goes in and holds him…we tried one night and he cried for 2 hours with us going in there every once in a while…I think he’s got a bit of a temper.

my baby girl...

has her first loose tooth.

i know, i know...i'm getting old..and it makes me even more sad that SHE is getting older. i told her over and over and over NOT to wiggle it bc after she loses it, she won't be my little girl anymore.
She looked at me and said, "Mom, just because I lose a tooth doesn't mean that I won't be your little girl. I'll always be your little girl." Ahh, melt my heart! But still, I tap her hand when she tries to wiggle it. I can't help myself. Stop growing up!

really? could it be?

hmm, or could it be a fluke?

Last night Mac slept from 8 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. straight. did not wake up once. it was more than a miracle..it was pure and total bliss!! he then nursed and went back to bed until 8:30 a.m.

I am sure that many of you nursing mothers understand where I am coming from…this is his normal nightly routine:

7-8P.M. Nurse sometime in here and then go to bed.

11:30p.m. wake up to nurse

1:30 Nurse

3:30 nurse

6:30 nurse

9 Wake up for the day

So, as you can see…this is a miracle, even if it is for one night only. thank you Macafer!

Update: 4/10/2010-He went to bed at 8 last night. Woke up at 11 to nurse and slept until 5:30...LOVE IT!

Easter

Our Easter weekend was really fun. Luke was originally scheduled to work on Saturday, but we got lucky!!  We spent the day grocery shopping...I know, I know...what about Conference?  Well, that is the beautiful thing about DVR!

Our Saturday night was a little more stressful...Luke was going to Priesthood, while I tried the Easter cookies 103_2451

and dying eggs ALL BY MYSELF!  103_2454

It was a success and no one nothing was permanently damaged.

After the kids were in bed, I was free to watch Conference in the quiet of my home.  I loved it!  I know that I should’ve let the kids watch with me, but I needed that spiritual, alone time..and it was great!

Sunday was so perfect!  We turned Conference on and spent most of the day outside enjoying the GORGEOUS weather!

Our Easter dinner was so nice!  We had some wonderful friends over and had lots of food and laughs.  What a great way to celebrate Easter when we don’t have family close by.  All in all it was exactly how I pictured this year to be and the added bonus was the amazing weather!103_2462  103_2466     103_2461

spring cleaning

after spending almost 6 hours cleaning on Saturday i mentioned to Luke that it felt like we had just done our spring cleaning.  imagine my surprise when he said that this wasn't even close AND that we had only done the basic cleaning.  upon further probing, i came to find out what his idea of spring cleaning really was...and it didn't include ANYTHING we had just finished around the house.  6 hours down the drain.  literally.

his idea of spring cleaning?  opening every cupboard in the kitchen, taking everything out, cleaning, reorganizing and putting it back....hmmm...taking down all the drapes, cleaning them, steam, etc. and put them back up..the list goes on and on…

well, realizing that he would be working major overtime hours this week AND the fact that it IS spring break, i thought i would tackle the kitchen.  on.my.own.  i know, i know, many of you are seasoned spring cleaners, but i.am. not.  let me repeat:  i.am.not.

i don't know many of you who LOVE cleaning, even if you do love having a clean house, but me...yeah, i have gone through a very hate-filled relationship with anything clean oriented.  don't get me wrong.  there is a certain satisfaction with having a clean, organized home.  but after 6 hours already?  enough was enough.

apparently not.  i spoke too soon and i did in fact clean the kitchen.  top to bottom minus the fridge and a cupboard....and mopping...and..ok, I didn't finish it all, but my parents came last night and i had other priorities, like feeding my children and making sure they didn't kill each other or destroy ever other inch of my home.

while on this cleaning journey, i thought it a good idea to get the kids involved.  i mean, seriously, what else would livi want to do on her spring break, right?  this may or may NOT have been a good idea...at first, it was a great idea, they were excited, ect..but after about 10 seconds  minutes they were done and so was i.  instead, i pushed through and after 6 hours, the kitchen was done for the night…

thankfully when luke DID come home, he told me that I had today off..and I am holding him to that…especially with how beautiful it is outside.  Easter egg hunt, here we come!103_2416

p.s.  you should see the kitchen right now.  not good.  whatevah!
